Happy Easter from all of us at Ben Franklin Crafts

It’s that time of year when Mother Nature can’t quite make up her mind whether she wants to hang on to winter, or let spring arrive! We are looking so forward to spring here at Ben Franklin Crafts Delavan. Come inside and you’ll see that spring has already arrived here! We have so many fun Easter decorations and craft ideas, as well as beautiful spring silk flowers and wreaths. Be sure to stop in on Friday, April 22nd or Saturday, April 23rd (or both!) for our Easter Egg Sale. As you check out, you will be able to draw an Easter egg out of our Easter basket. Inside the egg you will find a discount amount, varying from 5% to 25%, which you may use on one item you are purchasing. One lucky customer will receive a $50 gift certificate! Paper Arts Department

Jennifer has so many new things in her department, so we begin our news in her department. She is very excited with the new WeR Leather Albums, which are available both as ring binder albums, and post albums. Have you taken a trip to Disneyland or Disney World? We just received a new line called Magic Millennium by Queen & Co. , which would be perfect for making those scrapbook pages! Red & white dots, twinkling stars, moons, plaids, circles in cardstock, plus embellishments with Mickey’s gloves, bow ties, & stickers with favorite Disney locations will help you create memorable pages for your scrapbooks! Also new is an adorable line by Moxxie called Max & Mollie. These are the cutest skunks you’ve ever seen! The colors are pinks, browns & greens, and have a “retro” look to them. Two new lines by Nicki Sivils have also arrived-one with turtles & galoshes, called “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring”, and another line with beavers & trees, called “Beatice”. Jennifer also has new cardstock from Reminisce for graduation, so get those albums started! Ben Franklin Crafts Delavan now carries Memento Inks and some of their stamps. We also have new Copic colors coming in this week, as well as the Copic Multiliner Pens! Jennifer asked me to mention that we still have Easter cardstock, but it is going fast! Be sure to check out the cute Bottle Box on display, using the Easter line! Finally, be on the lookout for the new Inky Antics board program coming May 1st! We have already received the instruction sheets for the new cards, so we can show you what’s coming. There will be new, adorable stamps, plus new colors of the honeycomb paper! And, no, we haven’t forgotten those of you who are waiting for the Inky Antics elephant stamp. It’s on order, but Inky Antics is several weeks behind in shipping that stamp because of the great demand for it! Watch our website for the announcement when it arrives! Also, did you know that we have switched our scrapbooking crop days from Tuesdays to Fridays?! There’s no charge for these crops, and you have the staff and products on hand to help with your creations! Join in the fun!

Floral Department

Pam is excited about a new shipment of grapevine wreaths that just arrived! Stop in to see the displays she has created, plus talk to Pam about making a unique wreath especially for you to hang on your door, or inside your home! Do check out Pam’s other displays and see the creations she has made using our silk flowers and accessories! Pam would be happy to work with you to create an arrangement just for you! We have also received a very nice assortment of wired ribbons on spools for your crafting needs. We also have some very nice metal “yard art” pieces, including 2 sizes of Metal Obelisks! Just imagine how pretty they would look with clematis or morning glories climbing up them – or even just placed in your yard with flowers growing around them!

Jewelry & Beading

The response to our new “Mix and Mingle” line of beads has been great! Maggie wants to let our customers know that she has ordered the entire line of the Mix and Mingle beads, and they are arriving shortly! With so many choices, we’re sure to have a set to match that special outfit in your wardrobe! Besides necklaces, these beads look great on bracelets, and even as a “bauble” on your handbag! Their uses are only limited by your imagination! Keep an eye on our website for our Featured Products! These beads will be featured soon! And see what other surprises await you at our Featured Product tab!

Fabric

Debbie has just received a gorgeous line of fabrics from Benartex, called “Meadowlark”. These fabrics are the prettiest shades of greens and blues, and feature birds, flowers & vines, and even soft plaids and a patchwork assortment. We’ll have some sample projects made up soon to help with ideas! They would definitely make nice table settings! Come see what ideas you can come up with to use these fabrics! We also have in some new quilt patterns for you to check out, including an adorable Cupcake Hot Mitt!

Wilton

Stop in soon to see our Easter cookie cutters, and Easter “sprinkles” sets! Arriving soon are some fun Candy Pens that can be used in candy molds. Sue is also excited about a new book that she is expecting in, called “Decorating Cakes and Cupcakes”.

Crafts

Speaking of cupcakes, we have in a new shipment of Paper Mache Cupcake-shaped boxes that are so adorable! This cupcake theme is really popular right now! Another popular item is our 6” – 8” peacock feathers. Sue also has wooden Easter eggs that would be a cute family decorating project. We are expecting a new glue in the store soon called “Plastic Surgery”. This glue will be perfect for repairing plastics! With the weather warming up, you may have use for our new patio paints. Stop in soon for the best selection. We also have some new folk art enamels arriving anytime. In the wood department, Sue just received sets of wooden trays – sizes 10” x 6”, 9” x 5”, and 7.5” x 4”. Sue will be selling them as sets as well as individually. One customer thought they would make a cute doll bed – what a great idea! Also in the wood department, we have Memory boxes in both 12” x 12” and 8.5” x 11” sizes. These boxes have no glass in them, and would be great for displaying “memories” that have a little more depth to them!

Wedding

Is there a wedding happening in your family sometime soon? Be sure to stop in and see our expanded wedding aisle! Pam has also decorated a beautiful wedding arch that you’ve got to see to believe! New in the wedding department are clear pillow boxes. Pam also wanted to mention that we have garters in a nice selection of colors. Garters are popular at proms, too, and prom season is about to start! Girls, stop in to see the ready-made garters we have, or check out the ribbon & notions departments to create the perfect match to your prom dress! Pam can also create floral hair clips, corsages, or boutonnieres for the guys!

Art

Finally, we are re-stocking our stretch canvas in the art department. Jennifer wanted to remind our customers that our stretch canvas is always on sale at 50% off! Stop in to see our art department. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, speak to one of staff about “special ordering”.
